Put the exact address into the public, Catholic and French-language board tools for the school year you care about. English attendance, French Immersion, French-language education and optional programs can all point to different answers.
In newer south Milton, also ask about boundary changes, holding schools and phased openings. A map pin beside a school does not settle the question.
Which board rules apply to my situation?
HDSB, HCDSB, Viamonde and MonAvenir each have their own registration rules. Catholic elementary admission, French-language eligibility and cross-boundary requests are not the same question as regular address assignment.
If someone tells you a transfer should be fine, get that checked. Capacity, staffing, transportation and program rules can change the answer.
