New-home rebate component

“HST included” still deserves another question.

The agreement may already assume a rebate. Before counting it as a saving, identify which component is being discussed and who is entitled to receive it.

What this calculation does

The assumptions
stay in view.

  • Illustrates one selected rebate component only. It does not decide eligibility or add federal and provincial benefits together.
  • Federal: first-time buyer GST component, up to $50,000, phasing out between $1 million and $1.5 million.
  • Ontario enhanced: the 8% component, up to $80,000 through $1.5 million, reducing to $24,000 at $1.85 million. Eligibility and transaction dates must be checked. Ontario’s separate federal-equivalent top-up is not included.
